But sometimes, it's good to move on. Here's how to delete your Reddit account. How to Delete a Reddit Account Reddit allows you to shut down your account. However, the process does not remove your old comments and shared posts. If you want to delete any comments or posts, delete each one before closing your Reddit account. On a desktop browser, go to reddit.com and log in to the account you wish to delete. If you have multiple Reddit accounts and only wish to close a specific one, double-check that you're logged in to the account you want to deactivate. Once this process is complete, you cannot recover the account. In the upper-right corner of the main page, you'll see the username associated with the account. Select the down arrow to the right of the username. Select User Settings. On the User settings page, under the Account tab, scroll down and select Deactivate Account. A pop-up box appears with information about deactivating your account. Enter your Reddit username and password in the corresponding fields.
