You can also request to have your account deactivated on Lyft's customer service website, but using the mobile app is the quicker method. How to Deactivate a Lyft Account You cannot reinstate your Lyft account once deactivated, so make sure you want to delete it before you proceed. Tap the menu icon in the upper-left corner of the Lyft app. Tap Help. Tap Profile and account. Tap Delete my account. Tap Go to account deletion. Enter the phone number associated with your Lyft account, then tap Next. Under Delete account, tap Start. Give Lyft a reason why you're leaving, or just tap Next. Type DELETE in the text field to confirm, then tap Delete account. Lyft can take up to 45 days to confirm that your account is deleted. If you don't receive confirmation from Lyft, you can email Lyft at support@lyft.com to check on the status of your account. Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know!
