Hotmail is now Outlook.com and help is readily available

Since Microsoft officially retired the Windows Live Hotmail email service in 2013, the old customer support website hotmailsupport.com now redirects to Outlook.com. If you still have a Hotmail account, you can get help through the Microsoft forums.

How to Contact Hotmail Support

Follow these steps to get troubleshooting help for your Hotmail account:

  1. Check Windows Live Hotmail's status for current issues. Microsoft might already be aware of a problem and working on a resolution.

  2. Go to the Windows Live Hotmail forum on Microsoft.com and select Sign in in the upper-right corner if you are not yet signed into your account. Log in using your Windows Live Hotmail address and password.

    If you can't log in because you can't remember your password, you can also recover a lost Windows Live Hotmail password through Outlook.com.

  3. Select Ask a question.
