The first is wirelessly through a wireless connection, and the second is wired, with an ethernet cable. Here's a step-by-step guide to show you both methods for connecting your Vizio TV to the internet to use apps and more. Connect Your Vizio Smart TV to Wi-Fi Via a Wireless Connection You will need your Vizio TV remote and the Wi-Fi password to connect your TV wirelessly. Turn your Vizio TV on. The power button on the Vizio TV is located on the back left side of your TV. Or, use the Vizio TV remote by pressing the Power button, a circle with a line through the top. This button can be found on the upper right corner of your remote. Press the Vizio TV Menu button on the remote. You can find the Menu button four buttons below the Power button. When you press it, the Vizio TV menu will appear on the left side of your TV screen. Use the up and down arrows on your remote to select Network on the TV screen. Press the OK button, located in the middle of the arrow buttons. Your Vizio TV will begin scanning for available Wi-Fi networks. Available Wi-Fi networks will appear under Wireless Access Points. Use the up and down arrow on the remote to select the correct Wi-Fi network. Press OK to choose the correct network. Once selected the screen will display a keyboard for you to enter the network password. Use the arrows on your remote to navigate to the correct letters and numbers on the on-screen keyboard, pressing OK after each correct letter or number. Use the up arrow to select capital letters, and the @# key to access special characters. Once you have completely entered the password, use the arrow keys on the remote to select connect, which is below the online keyboard on the left side of the on-screen keyboard.
