You'll find there are a handful of ways to get connected once you know how to connect your iPhone to a Samsung TV. Screen Mirroring iPhone to Samsung TV Using a Lightning Digital AV Adapter This is probably one of the easier options, but it’s not free since you'll need to buy the adapter from Apple. The Lightning Digital AV Adapter goes for about $49.00 and can be used with your iPhone and iPad. Make sure you have an extra HDMI cable ready to use, as this is how you'll connect your iPhone to your Samsung TV. Once you have the cable ready, connect the AV Adapter to your iPhone. Now connect the HDMI cable to the AV Adapter. You'll see the port where you need to plug it into. Ensure the Samsung TV is on the source the HDMI is connected to and you should see your iPhone’s screen mirrored on your Samsung TV. How to Connect iPhone to Samsung TV Wirelessly Maybe you’re tired of wires and would like a wireless option that enables you to connect your iPhone to your Samsung Smart TV. No worries—there are a few apps out there that can help you achieve that wireless connection. When using any of these apps for screen mirroring, it's crucial to remember the Smart TV and the iPhone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network in your home. The apps won't function if your phone and TV are on different networks. Samsung SmartView App The Samsung SmartView app is a free app you can install on your phone that will allow screen mirroring to your smart TV. Once the Samsung SmartView app is installed and both the phone and tv are on the same Wi-Fi connection, launch the app and it will ask you to enter the code that appears on your Samsung Smart TV screen. Once you input the pin, it should connect to your tv, though how long it takes may vary by TV. Mirror for Samsung TV If you don’t like the performance of the SmartView app, you can try the Mirror app for Samsung TV. This $4.99 app gives you a bit more freedom with what you can mirror onto your Samsung TV. Once your phone and TV are on the same network, the Mirror app will ask you to select your TV. Choose your TV from the menu, tap Select Mirror Samsung TV, then tap Start Broadcast. Your iPhone's screen is then mirrored onto your Samsung Smart TV, showing how long you have been mirroring the screen. When you'd like to stop mirroring, go back to the app and tap Stop Broadcast. Other Apps With Mirroring Capabilities There are some apps like YouTube that have their own way of mirroring the iPhone screen to your TV. With YouTube, tap the small screen icon in the top right to connect or cast to your TV, provided your TV and phone are on the same network. Once done, you can watch your favorite YouTube videos right on your TV instead of the small screen on your phone.
