How to Connect a Chromebook to a TV With HDMI

If your Chromebook has an HDMI port, connect it to an HDTV using an HDMI cable. If your device uses USB-C instead, you need a USB-C adapter with an HDMI port.

To connect via HDMI:

  1. Insert one end of the HDMI cable into your Chromebook. If using an adapter, first plug the HDMI cable into the adapter, then insert the adapter into one of the USB-C ports on the side of the Chromebook.

How to Connect a Chromebook to a TV Wirelessly

It's possible to wirelessly connect your Chromebook to a TV using Chromecast. Chromebooks feature built-in support for Chromecast devices. After setting up Chromecast on your TV, follow these steps to cast your screen:

  1. Select the clock in the Chromebook shelf, then select Cast.
