How to Change Your GoDaddy Email Password

If passwords are a nuisance, they are a useful—and necessary—one at least. The secret and most hard-to-guess password is the most useful, of course, and so changing the password to your GoDaddy Email password can be necessary at times. Imagine you have detected malware that may capture passwords on your computer, for example, or a security break-in at another website could have revealed a similar password you used there.

Fortunately, changing a GoDaddy Email password is easy in GoDaddy Webmail—easy enough to do it with some regularity and further ensure your email account's security.

Change Your GoDaddy Email Password

To update the password to your GoDaddy Email account using GoDaddy Webmail:

  • Open and log in to GoDaddy Webmail.
  • Click the Settings gear in the toolbar.
  • Select More settings… from the menu that appears.
  • Open the Account tab.
  • Type your soon to be old GoDaddy Email password under Current password:.
  • Enter the desired new password under New password:.
    • Make sure, of course, your new password is strong.
  • Type the new password under Confirm new password: as well.
  • Click Save.

Change Your GoDaddy Email Password Using GoDaddy Webmail Classic

To change your GoDaddy Email password in GoDaddy Webmail Classic:

  • Click Settings in the GoDaddy Webmail Classic menu bar.
  • Select Personal Settings from the menu.
  • Open the Security tab.
  • Enter your current GoDaddy Email password under Current Password:.
  • Type the password you want to use from now on under New Password:.
  • Enter the new password under Confirm New Password: as well.
  • Click OK.
