This article explains how to cancel Netflix via several sources, including a web browser, the Netflix app for Android or iOS, and iTunes or Google Play.

Instructions in this article apply to the Netflix video streaming service app for smart TVs, video game consoles, web browsers, and mobile devices.

How to Cancel Netflix on a Web Browser

To cancel your subscription through the Netflix website:

  1. Select the Profile icon in the upper-right corner.

  2. Select Account from the drop-down menu.

  3. Under MEMBERSHIP & BILLING, select Cancel Membership.

    You can continue to watch Netflix until your account closes at the end of the current billing period.

How to Cancel Netflix From the Mobile App

To cancel your subscription using the Netflix mobile app for Android or iOS, follow these steps:

  1. Tap your Profile icon.

  2. Tap Account.

  3. Scroll down and tap Cancel Membership.

    Canceling the subscription from any device cancels the account for all devices. Uninstalling any of the Netflix apps, however, does not cancel your subscription.

How to Cancel Netflix via Google Play on Your Computer

If you subscribed to Netflix through Google Play, then you must cancel your subscription using your Google account. Go to play.google.com in any browser and select your Profile icon > Payments & Subscriptions to manage your account, including actions to cancel Netflix.

You must be logged in to the Google account you used to set up Netflix.

How to Cancel Netflix via Google Play on Android

To cancel a Netflix subscription through Google Play on Android, launch the Google Play app and select your profile picture in the upper-right corner, then select Payments & Subscriptions > Subscriptions. You will be able to cancel any listed subscription, including Netflix.

How to Cancel Netflix via Apple

If you signed up for Netflix via Apple, you can manage your subscription from your iPhone or computer.

On an iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Tap the subscription and choose Cancel Subscription.

If you have a Mac, use the App Store app:

If you set up your Netflix account on an Apple TV, you can cancel your subscription using this method.

  1. Go to the App Store app and select your name > Account Settings.

  2. Scroll down to Subscriptions and select Manage.

  3. Next to the subscription, select Edit.

  4. Select Cancel Subscription.

How to Cancel Netflix via iTunes

To cancel a Netflix subscription (via Apple) on a PC, use iTunes for Windows.

  1. Go to Account > View My Account and log in to your Apple ID if prompted.

  2. Scroll down to the Settings section and select Manage next to Subscriptions.

    Netflix keeps your viewing activity for 10 months, so if you decide to rejoin Netflix within that time period, your account will be just as you left it.
