Experience

Hans Jasperson has been delivering fact-based information and analysis to business leaders, policymakers, and consumers for over a decade. Since 2019, Hans has fact checked and edited articles for Investopedia and The Balance, focusing on the intersection of finance and technology. Throughout his career, he has researched hundreds of articles and product reviews on topics ranging from blockchain to roboadvisors.   

Hans previously served for four years as the director of public policy research for Management & Training Corporation. There he conducted research and prepared policy briefs on workforce development and career training, with an emphasis on education technology. Before joining MTC, Hans was a program director for Salt Lake Community Action Program, where he worked with low-income communities to advocate for policies and resources to address economic inequality. There, he helped a small, paper-intensive nonprofit agency adopt digital technologies that dramatically improved service delivery and accountability. 

Education

Hans received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language and Literature and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Utah.
