Google The newly revealed models include the new Nest Cam (battery), the Nest Cam Doorbell, Nest Cam with floodlight, and the second generation wired Nest Cam. All of these products connect to your smartphone via the Google Home app and provide notifications. The latest Nest products can tell the difference between a person, an animal, and a vehicle, so alerts can be configured to keep an eye out for certain subjects. As the name suggests, the Nest Cam (battery) is a battery-powered camera that works both outside and inside the home. It provides a 24/7 live feed and three hours of video history. Features include HDR for bright days, night vision, and two-way talking so users can talk to anyone outside, like a delivery person, via built-in speaker and mic. The Nest Cam (battery) also can be configured to detect familiar faces, but it requires a subscription to Nest Aware. The Nest Cam Doorbell has many of the same features as the Nest Cam, as it comes with night vision, can send alerts to smartphones, and runs on battery. It has a vertical field of view with a 3:4 ratio so users can see a person’s whole body and it can also detect packages. The Nest Cam (battery) and Nest Doorbell have the same price tag of $179.99, are available for pre-order today, and go on sale starting August 24. The Nest Cam with floodlight and the wired Nest Cam have a price tag of $279.99 and $99.99, respectively, but are not yet available for pre-order. Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know!
