<p>If you have logged in from the graphical login screen, the graphical desktop will be started automatically for you. The graphical desktop presents a <a href="https://www.lifewire.com/definition-of-verbose-output-2198791" data-inlink="MPDKeDjSu64WtR-EPOwc3g&#61;&#61;" data-component="link" data-source="inlineLink" data-type="internalLink" data-ordinal="1">Graphical User Interface</a> (GUI) for the user to interact with the system and run applications.
