Once the Epic Games Store has processed your refund, it could take a few days for the money to be returned to your account. Epic Games will automatically apply it to the account you used to purchase the game, and the speed of the refund will depend mainly on the bank backing your payment method.

Tips for Requesting a Refund in the Epic Games Store

When you're requesting a refund for an Epic Games Store purchase, there are a few other things to keep in mind:

  • If you purchased the game through another outlet, Epic Games won't refund it. You'll have to return to the original place of purchase to get a refund if that outlet grants refunds.
  • The Epic Games Store marks some games as non-refundable. You cannot get a refund for these games.
  • If you have been banned from a game or violated the Epic Games Terms of Service, you will be ineligible for a refund.
  • If your original payment method cannot be refunded, someone from the Support team will contact you to determine an alternate way of refunding your purchase amount.
