How to Download the HBO Max App on an Apple TV

You can sign up for HBO Max online or from your Apple TV after installing the app.

  1. On your Apple TV, scroll down to the App Store and open it.

  3. Search for HBO Max. Select HBO Max from the results.

  4. Select the download button.

  5. Click Open.

  6. Select Sign-in or Subscribe Now. Sign in with your email and password, or follow the on-screen prompts to sign up for HBO Max.

Can You Get HBO Max on Your Apple TV?

If you have a 4th generation Apple TV or an Apple TV 4K (or later) that runs tvOS 13 or later (learn more about tvOS versions), you can download the HBO Max app from the App Store. Note that the set-top box is different from the Apple TV app you might have on your smart TV or third-party
streaming device.
