How to Get Disney Plus on Apple TV: Get the App

Getting Disney+ on Apple TV is a simple, two-step process (though each of those steps has a few steps within it, as we'll see): you need to add the Disney Plus to your Apple TV and then either log into your account or start a free trial. Let's start by downloading Disney Plus by following these steps:

1. On your Apple TV, use the Siri Remote to open the Apple TV App Store.

2. Disney Plus may be featured on the homescreen or you may have to search or browse for it. Either way, when you find the app, click on it.

3. Click the Get button to download the Disney+.

   Depending on your settings, you may get a confirmation screen asking if you want to download the app. Click Get to continue.

4. Disney+ will download. How long that takes depends on the speed of your internet connection, but expect it to be just a few seconds in most cases. When it's downloaded, the Get button changes to Open. Click Open.

5. The Disney Plus app launches and you're ready to move onto the next step.

If you don't already have a Disney Plus account, you can subscribe directly on your Apple TV using in-app purchases. When you do this, your monthly Disney Plus subscription will be billed to whatever credit or debit card you have on file in your Apple ID. Follow these steps to subscribe to Disney Plus on Apple TV:

1. After installing Disney+ and opening it, click Start Free Trial.

2. Enter the email address you want to use for your Disney+ account and click Agree & Continue.

3. Enter the password you want to use for your Disney+ account and click Continue.

   The colored bar above your password tells you how secure your password is. The longer the bar, and the more green, the better your password is.

4. Click Sign Up.

5. Choose either a monthly or annual subscription (this delivers a savings because you pay for the whole year up front) and click on your choice.

6. Confirm that you want to subscribe and be billed after a one-week free trial by clicking Continue and then clicking OK.

7. When your subscription is confirmed, click Start Streaming Disney+ and you'll be delivered to the home screen. From there, you can browse and search for content and start enjoying Disney+.
