Gary Altunian has over thirty years of consumer electronics experience in retail sales and product training and education. He has been a freelance writer since 2003 and writes for several audio and home theater publications.
He began his career in 1975 as a consultant for a high-end audio retailer, and his success led him to the position of Director of Training for The Federated Group, a regional consumer electronics retailer. In 1988, Gary was appointed National Training Manager for Yamaha Electronics, guiding and training new salespeople in their careers. He held this position until 2003, when he decided to pursue freelance writing about stereo and audio components, one of his passions.
Gary's education is in Business Administration.
As the Stereos Guide, I look forward to providing current, meaningful and relevant content about one of my passions stereo sound. From basic information to help those new to stereos to more advanced content, my goal is to pass along what I know about stereo systems and audio reproduction and learn some new things along the way. My career began as a stereo hobbyist, and there is hardly anything I enjoy more than listening to music, all kinds of music, on a good stereo system.
