These free Photoshop textures will make it simple to quickly add a background or pattern to an image you're editing in Photoshop. The websites below offer completely free patterns that you can download right now and use in Adobe Photoshop.

All of these websites contain downloads that include Photoshop pattern (PAT) files. Just double-click the pattern to import it into Photoshop. Other downloads may be in an archive, in which case you'll need a free file unzipper to extract the PAT files.

Some of the Photoshop textures at Obsidian Dawn are of really high resolution and look fantastic even on large canvases. There are animal print patterns, lace, micro, stonework, tile, floral, and grungy/dirty textures available for download.

The download pages for these textures clearly show how many patterns are included in the download, which is helpful so you’re not wasting a download on just one texture.

The textures that are of higher resolution may be around 100 MB in size, making them take longer to download than some of the others.

Another source for high-quality free Photoshop patterns is Texturemate.com, which has around 20 sets of textures in the form of PAT files. Within each ZIP download is also the pattern in image form so you can preview them.

Among several others, there are glowing tile, abstract, denim stripes, grass, pixel art, video game brick, and cube tile textures.

Free Photoshop Patterns from DesignEasy

DesignEasy is another website with lots of free Photoshop textures. Though the main DesignEasy page doesn't show image previews, the individual download pages do.

Most of these downloads point directly to the PAT (pattern) files through Google Drive, which means you can open them right after downloading without having to first extract them from an archive.
