Forza Street Coming to iOS and Android

A tiny form of the popular racing game is coming to mobile devices

One of Xbox's most popular racing games is coming to mobile, albeit in a smaller, less powerful version.

Forza Street, a pint-sized version of the popular PC and console racing game is coming to Android and iOS on May 5, Microsoft's Xbox blog has announced.

Sounds familiar: The news comes two months after Microsoft opened pre-registration for the Android version of the game.

Not the full game: Forza Street is not the full-blown Forza console game. It's focused on car collection and short races. In fact, based on the trailer, it looks like Forza Street more closely resembles the popular Asphalt mobile racing game series.

A gift for players: Anyone who plays the new mobile game between May 5 and June 5 will get the Forza Founder’s Pack for free. It includes a 2017 Ford GT and in-game credits and gold, which you can apply to collecting more cars. In the game, better, faster cars mean you can win more races.

Start your engines early: Xbox Live members can sign in on Windows 10 and start building a car collection now. That collection will transfer to the new mobile game when it launches.

Bottom line: Mobile racing game fans like fast action, good graphics, and short races. Forza Street could provide all of that and be cheered by current PC and console Forza fans. Still, it'll take something special to pull racing game fans away from the Asphalt series.
