Fortnite: Save the World is the player versus environment (PvE) Fortnite game mode that spawned the massively popular Fortnite: Battle Royale. Instead of facing off against other players, the game pits up to four people against zombie-like husks that emerge from the storm. It features the same frenetic mixture of third-person shooting and fort-building gameplay as Battle Royale, so we've assembled all of the best codes, cheats, tips, and everything else you'll need to save the world.

Fortnite Cheats and Hacking Fortnite

While Fortnite: Save the World doesn't feature competitive multiplayer, it's still primarily an online multiplayer game. Currency you earn in this mode is also available for use in Fortnite: Battle Royale, so the two game modes are tied pretty close together. That means Epic takes the exact same hardline stance against cheating and hacking in Save the World as they do in Battle Royale.

If you use any kind of hack or cheat engine, or even have one running when you try to launch Fortnite: Save the World, you run the risk of losing your entire account. There are hacks and cheat engines that work with Fortnite: Save the World, but using them will result in Epic immediately banning your account. When that happens, you lose not only all your progress, but anything you've purchased in the game.

There are still a lot of tricks you can use to get ahead, but stay away from cheats and hacks. Epic has even sued people for using and promoting cheats in Fortnite.

Free V-Bucks in Fortnite and V-Buck Hacks

V-Bucks are the primary currency in both Fortnite: Save the World and Battle Royale, and buying them with real money can get to be a pretty expensive habit. That may make V-Buck hack services and generators look attractive, but it's important to stay away from these as well. Rather than putting your account at immediate risk, these services are more likely to steal your information, your money, and possibly even your identity.

Some free V-Buck scams even install malware on your computer, which can linger undetected for a very long time, collecting your private information the whole time. Instead of resorting to these so-called V-Buck hacks, it's a much better idea to just take advantage of legitimate sources of free V-Bucks.

How to Get Free V-Bucks in Fortnite: Save the World

If you have Fortnite: Save the World, there are several ways to get your hands on some free V-Bucks just by playing the game. Unlike Battle Royale, which offers no method of earning V-Bucks, Save the World provides a number of sources.

  • Daily login bonuses: Every day you log into Save the World, you get a login bonus. Some of these bonuses reward you with free V-Bucks.
  • Daily quests: This is a renewable resource that allows you to earn V-Bucks slowly over time.
  • Main quests: As you proceed through the main quest, about 10 percent of the quests will provide V-Buck rewards. Early quests provide big rewards, so don't wait to jump in.
  • Side quests: A limited number of side quests provide free V-Bucks, so keep your eyes out for them.
  • Events: Big events in Save the World typically have quest lines that reward you with free V-Bucks and a whole lot of other bonuses.

Fortnite: Save the World Daily Login Bonuses

The easiest way to get free V-Bucks is through daily login bonuses. Every day you fire up Fortnite: Save the World, you'll earn a login bonus. Bonuses range from free v-bucks to hero XP, rare weapons, and more.

If you log in every day for about a year, you'll net yourself 10,000 free V-Bucks. The first bonus comes on day 11, with 50 free V-Bucks. You'll also get huge boosts of 300, 800, and even 1,000 on specific days, with smaller rewards of 150 V-Bucks scattered throughout the year.

Your daily login counter doesn't reset if you miss a day. If you log in for 10 days, go on vacation for a week, and log in when you get home, that will count as your 11th day, and you'll get your 50 V-Buck reward.

Here are the biggest V-Buck paydays you can look forward to:

Fortnite: Save the World Daily Quest Tips and Tricks

Daily quests are designed so that you can complete them while playing the game as you normally would. Some quest goals are harder to meet than others, so we've pulled together a list of all the best tips and tricks to help you knock them out and get your free V-Bucks.

  • You can discard one daily quest each day: If you get a quest that looks like it will be too hard to complete, don't be afraid to trash it. You can replace one quest per day.
  • Tell your teammates about your Daily Destroy goals: When teammates destroy objects, you get credit. That means you stand a better chance of completing these quests fast if you ask your teammates to keep an eye out for the type of item you're supposed to destroy.
  • Don't count on your teammates for discovery quests: You actually have to enter an area yourself for it to count. Ask your teammates to give you a heads up if they find what you're looking for, but you still have to hoof it over there yourself.
  • You don't actually have to kill husks yourself: If you damage a husk, but your teammate steals your kill, you'll still get credit toward your daily quest. Spread that damage around.
  • You can complete your quests on any difficulty: Play at whatever difficulty you like, and you'll still earn your rewards. Remember that you only get V-Buck rewards from Save the World quests though, not Battle Royale quests.
  • You only get one quest per day: Even if you aren't planning on playing, log in to grab your daily quest. It won't be expire, so you can log in later to complete it.
  • You can only have three quests at a time: Don't sleep on those quests too long. You can stack up three of them, but you'll stop getting new ones after that.

Easy Ways to Get Nuts and Bolts in Fortnite: Save the World

Nuts and bolts are a crafting ingredient in Fortnite: Save the World, and you're going to need a whole lot of them. You'll find them naturally as you play, especially if you search everything you can, and destroy everything you can't.

If you need more, and you probably will, here are some of the best ways to get nuts and bolts in Fortnite: Save the World:

  • Load into a city map with party privacy set to private: This allows you to freely go around the map destroying cars, parking meters, and other items that drop nuts and bolts, without any interruptions. Quit whenever you're done, and you'll keep any nuts and bolts you found.
  • Load an industrial map with your party set to private: This works the same way, but you want to keep your eyes peeled for stacks of metal pipes and other items that yield nuts and bolts. Look for large transformers, generators, and satellites, all of which yield a bunch of nuts and bolts. Use an anti-material charge to get your loot quick, quit the session, and load a new one.
  • Send heroes on expeditions: If you level extra heroes, you can send them out on expeditions. This is an easy way to get nuts and bolts when you aren't even playing.

Evolving Heroes in Fortnite: Save the World

Evolving your heroes is key, because it unlocks extra passive and active skills. Part of this process is easy to accomplish just by playing, because it involves leveling up and acquiring skills from the tier one skill tree. Once you reach level 10, and you've got your skills, you'll need to gather items like pure drops of rain and training manuals.

Every hero can be evolved multiple times, and the number of times you can evolve them is based on their rarity. Here are the hero rarities and the number of times you can evolve each:

Stars Rarity Evolutions
One Uncommon 3
Two Rare 4
Three Epic 5
Four Legendary 5
Five Mythic 5

While epic, legendary and mythic heroes all evolve the same number of times, their starting power levels are different. Mythic heroes have higher starting power than legendary, and legendary have higher starting power than epic.

How to Get Training Manuals in Fortnite: Save the World

You'll get pure drops of rain and training manuals as mission rewards from time to time. Pure drops of rain are more commonly provided as mission rewards than training manuals, but neither are terribly common.

If you're having trouble finding enough training manuals to evolve your hero, here's where you can get them:

  • Mission rewards: Training manuals are available as quest rewards, but they aren't very easy to get that way. If you need some training manuals, you're better off using one of the other methods than grinding quests.
  • Retiring heroes, survivors, and defenders: This is the most reliable way to obtain training manuals, but it requires you to retire heroes, survivors, and defenders that are one star rarity or better. You can see how many training manuals you'll receive before you retire the hero, survivor, or defender. Once you retire them, you won't be able to use them anymore.
  • Rewards from your collection book: Your collection book is a decent source of training manuals, but it's finite. You receive a set number of manuals at specific milestones.

Training Manuals from the Collection Book in Fortnite: Save the World

The collection book provides a non-renewable source of training manuals, because you can only receive each reward one time. However, it's also a very reliable source, because you'll always know exactly how to get them and how many you'll receive.

Here are the collection book levels that reward training manuals, and the number of manuals you'll receive:

Collection Book Level Number of Training Manuals
15 Three
22 Three
36 Eight
43 Eight
53 Four
63 Four
74 Ten
94 Four
