Here's how to get all FF7 ultimate weapons as early in the game as possible. Instructions in this article apply to Final Fantasy VII for the original PlayStation. Cloud's Ultimate Weapon: Ultima Weapon First Available How to Obtain Abilities Near the end of the game, just before Northern Crater. Defeat the Ultima Weapon. Attack power increases with HP. When you regain control of the Highwind at the start of disc three, head to the crater east of Junon where you’ll find Ultimate Weapon hovering in the air. Run into him to start a boss battle. Ultimate Weapon has 100,000 HP total, but he will run away from battle three times, you’ll have to relocate him on the world map. Once you finally take him down, he’ll drop the Ultima Weapon sword for Cloud. Aeris's Ultimate Weapon: Princess Guard First Available How to Obtain Abilities In the Temple of the Ancients (you only have one chance). Enter the door marked “IV” in the clock room. Attack power doubles when one party member is KO’d and triples when both fellow party members are KO’d. Before you fight the boss in the Temple of the Ancients, adjust the hands of the clock so that you can enter the door at 4 o'clock. You will be unable to return to the Temple after defeating the boss. Tifa's Ultimate Weapon: Premium Heart First Available How to Obtain Abilities Any time after you get the Highwind. Return to the Wall Market in the slums. Attack power increases as Tifa’s limit gauge fills up. After you gain control of the Highwind, you can return to Bone Village and excavate the Key of Sector 6. Once you have the item, return to Midgar and enter the slums. Return to the Wall Market and go to the building with the ceiling-mounted Gatling gun. If you examine the terminal there, instead of the gun shooting at you like it did previously, the terminal will dispense Tifa’s ultimate weapon, Premium Heart. Each character also has an ultimate limit break in FF7, which you can get by finding special items and unlocking all other limit breaks. Barret's Ultimate Weapon: Missing Score First Available How to Obtain Abilities During your final assault on Midgar (you only have one chance). Have Barret in your party. Attack increases with materia AP, does more damage when Barret is in the back row. Make sure Barret is in your party before you begin climbing the stairs to the Sister Ray cannon. As long as he’s in your party, a chest containing Missing Score will appear in plain view on the way to the top. If Barret is not with you, the chest will not appear. Red XIII's Ultimate Weapon: Limited Moon First Available How to Obtain Abilities Near the end of the game, just before Northern Crater. Return to Cosmo Canyon Attack power increases with max MP. After defeating Hojo on the Sister Ray, you can return to Cosmo Canyon to obtain Red XIII’s ultimate weapon. Once there, go to Bugenhagen’s lab and speak to him and he’ll give you the Limited Moon. Cait Sith's Ultimate Weapon: HP Shout First Available How to Obtain Abilities During your final assault on Midgar (you only have once chance). Check the lockers on floor 64 of the Shinra building. Attack power increases with Max HP. On your way to the Sister Ray to fight Hojo, you have the option to return to the Shinra Building. Go to the 64th floor and check the lockers in the locker room to find the HP Shout. If you miss it, you can't go back later. Cid's Ultimate Weapon: Venus Gospel First Available How to Obtain Abilities Any time after the rocket is launched at Rocket Town. Talk to an NPC in Rocket Town three times. Attack power increases with max MP. After the Rocket carrying the Huge Materia is launched and you return to land, you can find a male NPC standing in front of a house. Talk to him three times and he’ll hand over Cid’s ultimate weapon, Venus Gospel. Yuffie 's Ultimate Weapon: Conformer First Available How to Obtain Abilities After you obtain the submarine. Find the downed Shinra plane underwater. Attack power increases based on the enemy's level. Once you have the submarine, explore the ocean depths and locate the downed Shinra Plane. Once inside, you'll find the room that looks like a laboratory with a chest containing Yuffie’s ultimate weapon, the Conformer. Vincent's Ultimate Weapon: Death Penalty First Available How to Obtain Abilities After you get the submarine. Go to Lucrecia's cave with Vincent in your party. Attack power increases with the number of enemies killed. Once you get the submarine, search the ocean floor with a trench that you can follow. When you reach the end of the passage, you can surface and enter Lucretia’s Cave. Watch the scene there with Vincent in your party, then leave for a while.
