Evan Killham is a Lifewire writer that has been writing all over the internet since 2009. He's just as comfortable analyzing a book or film as he is helping someone swap out a hard drive or pin down an elusive feature on their Apple Watch.
His work has appeared on a variety of tech- and pop culture-centric websites, including VentureBeat, Cult of Mac, and ScreenRant. In addition to demystifying new devices and functions, he's covered news, reviewed gadgets, and performed consulting work for Novy Unlimited, a PR firm that represents independent video game developers.
Evan has been an Apple user since the original iMac G3 came out. His was blue. When he isn't writing, he's learning new skills like audio engineering, 3D modeling, and woodworking. So he's used to looking up help online.
I have both a MacBook Pro and an HP laptop running Windows 10. I use an iPhone 11 along with an iPad Air and Apple Watch Series 3. I also have a 4th-generation Apple TV, an Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and about a dozen older consoles and handhelds. Other tech I have lying around the house includes Phillips Hue smart bulbs, a Monoprice Maker Select v2 3D printer, and a PSVR headset.
Evan earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English and Film Studies in 2003 from the University of Nebraska.
I love tech, but I know that it isn't always as straightforward or user-friendly as it could be. I appreciate having a resource available with such a wide variety of knowledge to help myself and others make the most of their gadgets. I appreciate the opportunity to contribute and help other people understand what their phones and other devices can do.
