The internet makes sending eValentines to your friends really easy with all the ecard applications available. Valentine's Day is not the only reason to send a valentine to someone you love; you can do it just because. People really like it when they receive something unexpected.

You can customize and send free ecards that include music and animation. You can choose a variety of tunes to go along with the card. To send to Facebook friends, select the Send to Facebook friends button and you'll be able to select a friend to send it to via private message. You can also choose to send it via email.

They have hundreds of cards, including those for family, friends, I love you, miss you, thanks, fun, roses, love songs, hugs, kisses, for him, for her, angels and cupids. You can also select them by their rating and which are the most popular and most recent.

This Facebook app page can be used for all special occasions as well as Valentine's Day. Select the card you want to send and your Friends list will pop up to allow you to select the friend or friends to whom you wish to send it. Then you can customize it with a message and send it via Facebook or email.

JibJab ecards are a blast of music and animation that you can customize with your own photos. The drawback is that you will have to pay for the privilege. But you can decide whether it's worth the spare coins you'd be throwing their way (far less than buying a paper card in any case). You can preview the videos before you sign up for an account and pay a couple of bucks or less.

What We Don't Like

  • Interface is dated.

  • Membership not free after trial.

  • Some prose is overly corny.

You can create interactive Valentine's Day greeting cards at Blue Mountain. You have to sign up for an account and you get a free 1-week trial. You will need to pay after that, and the subscription renews automatically. The interactive cards can be well worth the monthly price if you compare them with paper cards.
