Emily began writing for Lifewire in March 2019. A graduate of Monmouth College and Western Illinois University, she is passionate about emerging technologies and how they can enrich daily life. Emily resides in Lombard, Illinois, where she works in email marketing for companies such as Oracle and Shaw + Scott. When she’s not checking out the latest tech, she’s working on her first novel.
My Gear
For my personal setup, I'm using a Windows 10 Dell Alienware Aurora R7 Desktop in combination with the NETGEAR Nighthawk Cable Modem WiFi Router Combo C7000. With these powers combined, I enjoy online gaming without compromising performance across my home network. An avid fan of travel, I'm always looking for ways to stay connected on the go. I do this by using a combination of my Fitbit Blaze, my Asus Chromebook running OS 77, and my Samsung Galaxy S10+. A personal addict of the Galaxy line since the SIII's launch, my S10+ is always up to date on the latest and greatest version of Android Pie as well as Samsung's OneUI. In my spare time when I'm not playing the latest games or working on my first novel, I'm practicing my photography skills on my Panasonic Lumix GX85 or my Nikon D5500.
Emily has a Bachelor's degree in English and Educational Studies from Monmouth College as well as a Master's in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University.
