Profile: Eclipse AVN6620 DVD Receiver and Navigation System

Overview: Eclipse AVN6620:

The Eclipse AVN6620 is a CD/DVD-Video multi-source receiver with DVD Navigation capabilities combined with a 7-inch wide touch screen display. The AVN6620 is a dual-zone receiver with built-in amps, AM-FM tuners and is iPod ready and XM and Sirius Satellite Radio Ready. It is designed to provide a factory-installed look.

Audio Features:

The AVN6620 features 24-bit digital to analog converters backed by built-in amps with 50 watts x 4 and 5-volt preout connections for external amplifiers and a subwoofer output. It includes Circle Surround II decoding, five soundfield controls and a listening position selector. The receiver can also play MP3 and WMA music files. The receiver has multiple inputs and is ready for an iPod player, XM and Sirius Satellite Radio Tuners, an HD Radio tuner, two CD changers and a TV tuner. A 7-band Parametric Equalizer (PEQ) is included to customize the sound for each vehicle.

DVD Navigation Features:

The receiver's DVD navigation system features split screen mode and multiple location search options, including address, points-of-interest, intersection, freeway enter/exit, multi-lingual voice guidance, estimated travel time, detours and real-time traffic information via optional Sirius Real-Time Traffic.

Security Features:

The AVN6620 includes the Eclipse Security Network (ESN) that disables the head unit until a user-designated Key CD is inserted in the player.

Bluetooth Features:

The receiver is Parrot Bluetooth Ready for hands-free cell phone use. Many states have enacted laws prohibiting use of cell phones when driving, unless they are hands-free.
