Features & Gameplay

In Dragon Age: Inquisition players will take on the role of The Inquisitor, the new leader of the "Inquisition" who has been tasked with stopping the evil that has sent the world of Thedas into turmoil. The Inquisitor is customizable and players have ability to choose one of four different races - dwarf, elf, human or qunari, one of three classes - mage, rogue or warrior and the character's gender.

Each race and class will have their own set of abilities and skills to choose from.

The game world in Dragon Age: Inquisition is much larger than either of the previous two titles with playable environments or land area that covers the two countries of Ferelden and Orlais. The story also follows a non-linear, open ended plot with player actions and decisions having a much bigger impact on the game's overall storyline than the previous Dragon Age games. In addition to the single player story, the game also includes a four player co-operative multiplayer mode. It is not yet known as of this writing if the multiplayer co-op follows the same storyline or if one player would take on the role of Inquisitor with other players taking on different characters.

Tactical combat view makes a return in Dragon Age Inquisition, the feature allows players to prepare and position their party for combat and encounters. This feature was available in the PC version of Dragon Age: Origins but subsequently removed from Dragon Age II. It will be available in all versions of Inquisition. In addition new features include the first appearance of mounts and keeps. Keeps are obtained by capturing them at various location son the map and used to maintain power and influence of the Inquisition.

They can be customized to serve as a hub for a specific purpose such as commerce, espionage and military.
