YouTube TV Device Limit

You can use YouTube TV on up to three devices at once if you're signed up for the base plan ($64.99 per month). Devices can be any combination of computers, smartphones, tablets, streaming devices (Roku and Apple TV), smart TVs, and gaming consoles.

If you would like to enable unlimited streams over your home Wi-Fi, upgrade your base plan with the 4K Plus add-on for an additional $19.99 per month. In addition to getting rid of the three-device limit, the 4K Plus add-on brings you 4K support and offline playback.

You can watch YouTube TV at home or when away. The only catch is that you must sign in to your account while in your home area at least once every 90 days. This rule is because YouTube TV offers some channels by region.

Can I Download YouTube TV Content to Multiple Devices?

If you have the YouTube TV base plan ($64.99 per month), you won't be able to download content for offline viewing. You'll only be able to watch YouTube TV programming with an internet connection.

If you upgrade your base plan to the 4K Plus add-on, however, you'll gain the ability to download content to watch later. The offline playback feature lets users download their DVR recordings, though you'll need the YouTube TV app to take advantage of this feature.

This is handy if you're traveling or will be somewhere without an internet connection. Download your favorite shows to your mobile device via the YouTube TV app, then watch when you want.

Other streaming services that offer offline viewing, including Disney Plus, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video.

How Many Accounts Can You Have?

You can have as many YouTube TV accounts as you wish. You’ll need to use a different email address for each account.

Is Account Sharing Allowed?

Yes, you can share your account with up to five family members at no extra cost by creating a family group. Each group member gets a DVR and can set their viewing preferences. Other members can’t access your watch history or library.

The user who creates the family group becomes the family manager. They can choose who to invite, though members must be 13 or older and live in the same country. The manager can also remove members and delete the group at their discretion. Finally, the manager can also designate other members as Parents, enabling them to approve Google Play purchases, change parental controls, and more.

When you create a family group, you can also share other Google apps and services in addition to YouTube TV.
