How to Remove Kik From Android

Want to delete your Kik account? Maybe you found a better free texting app or you were only trying out the Kik service for a little while. Regardless, it's easy to remove the Kik app from your Android device, but after that, you have to deactivate Kik, too.

Kik can be deactivated in two ways: temporarily or permanently. When you temporarily deactivate Kik you are telling the service to stop sending you emails and ensuring that no other Kik users can message you. In fact, even your name will be deleted from the contact lists of anyone who tries messaging you.

A permanent deactivation is much more destructive. Not only do all of the above apply but your account will no longer be accessible if you permanently remove your Kik account. Your old username will no longer be searchable by other Kik users and your whole profile will be deleted from previous contacts' lists.
