To temporarily or permanently deactivate your Kik account, visit the Kik website using a web browser. These instructions apply to Android phones and tablets running Android 10, 9.0 (Pie), and 8.0 (Oreo). How to Delete the Kik App To uninstall the Kik app from your Android device: Go to Settings. Tap Apps & notifications. Tap See all <#> apps. Scroll down and tap Kik. Tap Uninstall. Select OK if prompted to confirm. How to Deactivate Kik Temporarily When you temporarily deactivate your account, Kik stops sending you email notifications, and no other Kik users can message you. Your name also disappears from other users' contacts. Open a web browser, visit the Deactivate Your Kik Account page, enter the email address associated with your account, then select Go. It's possible to access the Kik website using any browser on any device, so you can use your computer or mobile device to complete this process. Go to your email account and open the message from Kik titled Deactivate your Kik Account, then select Deactivate. Provide a reason for suspending your account (optional). Then, choose Go to close your account temporarily. To re-enable a temporarily deactivated Kik account, log in again. Your password is the same that it was before you deactivated your account. How to Deactivate Kik Permanently When you permanently close your Kik account, your old username is no longer searchable by other Kik users, and your profile is deleted. You will not be able to log in to the account again; you must make a new Kik account if you wish to use the app in the future. In a web browser, open the Delete Your Kik Account page, provide the requested information, then select Go. Open the email from Kik with the subject Still want to delete your Kik account? and select Permanently Deactivate.
