How to Delete Apps on Chromebook

Free up some hard drive space or declutter your Chrome OS Launcher

Chromebooks obtain apps from either the Google Play Store or the Chrome Web Store. Unless it has a large hard drive, your Chromebook will quickly fill up or become cluttered with shortcuts. Deleting apps on Chromebook frees up hard drive space, or declutters the Chrome OS Launcher. Removing apps you no longer need is done in just a few clicks. Below are a couple of ways to accomplish this.

Chromebook apps can be uninstalled directly from the Launcher by following these steps:

  1. Select the Launcher icon, represented by a circle and usually located in the lower-left corner of the screen.

    The Chromebook desktop.
