You can create a backup copy of your blocked senders in Windows Live Mail; use this to copy that list, too.

Backing Up and Transferring Your Blocked Senders

When I blocked some senders in Outlook Express, I meant to block them forever (that is: until I want to unblock them again).

I want to keep my list of blocked senders if I reinstall Windows, and I want to carry it to a new computer (and a new Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail or Outlook Express), too.

Fortunately, it's fairly easy to back up the list of blocked senders in Windows Live Mail, Windows Mail and Outlook Express.

To create a copy of your Windows Live Mail or Windows Mail blocked senders list for backup or copying:

To back up or copy your list of blocked senders in Outlook Express:

  • Change the location to the directory where you want to keep the backup copy of your Outlook Express blocked senders list.
  • Type "Blocked Senders.reg" in the File Name box.
  • Click Save.
