Each year manufacturers in the video production industry roll out dozens of new, drool-worthy products, and these last few years have seen incredible new innovations we might not have imagined a decade ago. Drones, action cameras, and much more.

For this year we've drawn up a wishlist that just about any of us would be thrilled to find under the tree. So we didn't go too crazy we capped the budget at a thousand bucks an item.

This year is interesting, however, as for under that budget you'll find things like a drone, a professional cinema camera, studio grade software and much more.

Well, let's get to opening presents!

DJI Phantom Standard Drone ($699) - DJI's latest entry into the pro aerial device space combines a handful of their top end product features into an affordable, stable and highly capable drone.

GoPro HERO4 Session ($199) - The power of a GoPro HERO4 stuffed into a cube that fits neatly in a pocket. Facing increasing competition, GoPro is back to innovating - beyond the new small camera, rumor has it there is a new GoPro drone called "Karma" in the works.

A Vimeo Plus membership for one year ($70/year) - Videos are a blast to make, but they're more fun when they're shared. Vimeo's playground is a bit less cluttered than YouTube, and the social features encourage video enthusiasts to help, encourage and challenge each other.

Flashpoint CL-1300B BiColor LED PanelLight ($300) - Adorama's exclusive brand for lighting products came up with a winner with this LED panel. Designed to be modular, it's possible to run these battery or AC-powered panels on their own, or attached to other panels. Create your own custom light panel!

Once hooked up, enjoy excellent build quality, a large dimmer function and smooth fading between two light colors.

Rode VideoMic GO ($99) - Rode has another great product on their hands with the VideoMic GO. Joining a successful lineup of inexpensive mics for DSLR and mobile video enthusiasts, the GO adds pro-quality audio to any camera without the pro price tag.

iOgrapher Ultimate Streamer Bundle ($485) - iOgrapher has had a breakout year, and their Ultimate Streamer Bundle takes their innovative iPhone 6/S/Plus/S Plus case to another level. This kit includes an iOgrapher case, a Rode Video Micro microphone, a wide angle lens, a 2x telephoto lens, Manfrotto mini tripod, Manfrotto light, iRig lapel microphone, Sennheiser headphones, a case, and a cable to attach the microphones to the iPhone.

Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera ($995) - Hard to believe that Blackmagic Design has done this: they've created a lineup of affordable, high quality cinema cameras accessible by everyone. The lineup of cameras includes two devices under a thousand dollars, one of which is the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. This camera offers incredible dynamic range, as well as RAW and ProRes capture to put any DSLR to shame.

24/7 Traffic Collection - Sling Camera bag ($99) - another product out of Adorama's exclusive lineup is their 24/7 Traffic Sling Bag. For less than a hundo, this lightweight nylon bag can carry a DSLR with 3 lenses, a 12" tablet (an iPad Pro might be nice), an adaptable strap for different mounting options, and a quick-draw side opening to ensure you don't miss that impromptu shot.

Adobe Creative Cloud Subscription ($50/month) - $600 per year might seem like a lot, but for that dough, Creative Cloud subscribers enjoy unlimited access to Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and many other industry standard applications for creative work.

Also included are Adobe's awesome mobile apps, so you can edit photos and video on the fly. The subscription model is great for these cutting edge applications, as the subscriber always has access to the very latest versions of programs.

Red Giant Universe (Free & up) - starting out at $0, Universe is Red Giant's constantly-expanding collection of free and premium plug-ins for Premiere, Final Cut, After Effects, HitFilm and more. With ever-improving and evolving plans ranging from free through a lifetime premium membership for around $600, Universe will keep even the most creative editor or motion designer happy.
