In most versions of the Safari web browser, the default home page setting will take you to Apple's site. You can change the homepage on a Mac or Windows computer to anything you like in just a few short steps.

Tip: If you're not using Safari, but instead Chrome or Firefox, for example, you can still set your own custom homepage.

How to Change the Safari Homepage

  1. Under the Safari menu, choose Preferences... or use the command+, (command key + comma) keyboard shortcut.
  1. Make sure the General tab is selected.
  2. Move down to the Homepage section.
  3. Enter the URL you want to set as the Safari homepage. To make the homepage the current page you're viewing in Safari, use the Set to Current Page button.
  4. Exit the General settings window.
