How to Change the Clock Face on a Fitbit Versa or Versa 2

The default clock face that is pre-installed on your Fitbit Versa is serviceable, but it might not suit your style. That's okay. You can change it to match your style, suite your mood, or just because you're tired of looking at Versa's face.

Of course, there are other reasons you may want to change the clock face on your Versa. For example, you may way to display different (more or less) information that's targeted to your specific goals or needs. The default clock face shows the time, your steps, heart rate, and calories burned, but designers have come up with so many ways to display that information and more. You can have a world clock in addition to your local clock, or there are even faces that look similar to those you might see on an Apple Watch. Regardless of why you want to do it, here's how to change the clock face on your Fitbit Vera or Versa 2 smartwatch.

How to Change Fitbit Versa Clock Faces

The first thing many Fitbit users like to do after setting up a new Versa or Versa 2 smartwatch is change the watch face to match their style. You can do this from the Fitbit app on your smartphone.

  1. Open the Fitbit app on your smartphone and tap the Account icon in the upper left corner then choose your Versa from the Devices list.

  2. Tap Clock Faces > All Clocks.

    If you've already download clock faces from the faces store, you can choose them from the My Clock Faces gallery at the bottom of the Clocks page. This gallery will display your five most recent watch faces at any given time.

  3. Choose a clock face from those available and tap Select on the information page.

    You'll find that there are plenty of clock face options to choose from. Some are free, and some require payment. Usually, a designer will let you 'try on' a clock face for about 2 hours and then charge you if you're still using it.

  4. Grant the appropriate permissions and tap Install. Once the clock face is downloaded, it will automatically be applied to your watch. It could take a few minutes for the watch to sync with the app.

Stay in Style, All the Time

That's really all there is to it. It doesn't matter what your style or needs are, you can swap out clock faces at any time, and it really only takes a few minutes to do it. The longest part of the process is usually finding the clock face you want to use. So, try a few or change them every day or even multiple times per day. Your Versa should always match who you want the world to see.
