Quite a few major websites now accept Bitcoin as payment for goods and services. The list that follows is updated regularly and includes only confirmed major businesses or services currently accepting cryptocurrencies companywide or in specific corporate divisions. Subway, for example, is not on this list because only one store has been confirmed as using it; the company as a whole does not. In 2019, AT&T became the first major U.S. mobile carrier to accept cryptocurrency.

Cryptocurrency is not just for unsavory criminals anymore. More and more brick-and-mortar businesses and organizations are accepting Bitcoin. One surprising example: the Denver airport's parking facilities.

Shopify is an e-commerce platform that allows merchants to set up their own online shops to sell their products, similar to Etsy and eBay. In November 2013, all 75,000+ Shopify merchants were given the option to start accepting bitcoin payments with the help of BitPay. Shopify also accepts Coinbase, GoCoin, and CoinPayments.

There's a lot of fine print but Microsoft has streamlined the process.
