Best iTunes Radio Replacements for The iPhone

What are your options now iTunes Radio has gone?

Streaming Radio to Your iPhone

Before Apple launched its streaming music service (Apple Music), you may remember a free way to listen to songs called iTunes Radio. This was an ad-supported service which instantly turned your iPhone into a portable FM radio. If you're not familiar with this feature, it basically allowed you to create playlists automatically with the songs you listened to. You could also use Siri to control playback too.

Sadly though this feature was retired by the company in January 2016. This decision was presumably taken because Apple Music has a radio feature built in. And, perhaps if Apple had kept the free iTunes Radio service it could have impacted on subscriber numbers.

But, what if you don't use Apple Music and therefore couldn't justify paying a monthly subscription just to turn your iPhone into a portable radio?

Luckily there are alternatives out there so you don't have to stick with Beats 1. Here are some of the best options that are a good match for Apple's retired iTunes Radio service.
