Amazon’s Kindle Paperwhite also got its own case made by the company. And this case is also the best-selling case for Kindle Paperwhite Covers. So what makes it so different?
The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite case is the lightest and thinnest protective cover available for the device. Made of premium natural leather, the case weighs only 5.6 ounces and is small enough to fit in a purse. Like the Amazon Kindle Voyage Case, this cover will wake up the device when you open it, and put it to sleep when you close it. There are no straps in the front and the cover is secured with a magnetic clasp.
It’s important to note, that this case will only fit the Kindle Paperwhite – not the Kindle Voayge or Kindle Touch. On the plus side, this case has a little more color diversity to match your style: fuscia, honey, ink blue, onyx black, persimmon, royal purple and saddle tan.
All the usual features in a case are here: magnetic clasping functionality (there are actually 12 magnets in the case to ensure ultra secure attachment), sleep/wake tie-in and a slick-looking leather cover that protects and brings class to your device. This one, however, gives you the added benefit of having an extra battery built right in, so you can charge on the go. It connects in so that, while the case is on, your charger will juice up the device and the case simultaneously. It comes in black, merlot or suede finishes, so you can customize to whatever your style is. Dimensions are 5.7 x 4.9 x 0.4 inches and it weighs in at 3.7 ounces -- which is pretty impressive for a battery case.
Sometimes it’s good to look outside the brand of the device when choosing a case for it. But sometimes (and this is one of those times), sticking with the tried-and-true will pay dividends in sleek device protection. This case comes in four colors, is constructed with what they’re calling premium fabric and a microfiber interior and offers Amazon-designed protection (which is pretty compelling because they designed the device). It has a stylish foldover that holds up the tablet, which is extra cool with the HD 10’s Alexa capabilities.
The PU leather exterior shell is very protective and the microfiber interior ensures that your device won’t scratch. The built-in foldout kickstand features allow for both viewing and typing angles for the ultimate versatility, while an interior hand strap secures the tablet for one-hand use. But, really, the best part here is the 100 percent lifetime warranty, so you’ll never have to risk quality or your device’s safety.
This case is designed by Amazon itself specifically for the Kindle Voyage, the discontinued model that preceded the Oasis. If you're still clinging to your Voyage, this is a gorgeous protective case crafted from premium natural leather. It's got an understated, slick rear design and is available in black, blue, or red. The origami reference is to the stand, which folds and magnetically snaps together so you can perch your tablet on a surface in portrait mode for hands-free reading. The cover itself is also magnetically secured, and you can wake your Voyage just by flipping it open, so there's no fumbling with buttons when you're ready to read.
