Shown on this page are three views of the TR-3D Powered Subwoofer used in the Anthony Gallo A'Diva SE 5.1 speaker system.

The photo on the left is view of the front of the Sub, showing the speaker grill and detachable power cord.

The center photo shows the TR-3D from one side, which reveals its true cylindrical shape, as well as showing a better view of its included feet.

Moving to the right is a look at the rear panel of the subwoofer, which includes the controls and connections.

Here is a look at the controls and connections on the Anthony Gallo Acoustics TR-3D Subwoofer that are located on the top of the rear panel.

Starting on the right is the LED power indicator, followed by the crossover control. This control sets the point at which you want the subwoofer to produce low frequency sounds, against the ability of the satellite speakers to reproduce low frequency sounds. The crossover adjustment is variable from 50 to 180 Hz.

Moving to the right is Crossover Bypass switch. If you have the TR-3D connected to a home theater receiver that has its own subwoofer crossover, you have the option of setting this switch to Bypass.

Just below the Crossover Bypass switch is the Bass Boost control. This switch enables to you boost the low frequency output of the TR-3D by either 3 dB or 6 dB - this serves to equalize the bass output to your room size and acoustical characteristics.

Phase: This control matches in/out subwoofer driver motion to the satellite speakers. This control can be set at either the 0 or 180 degree position.

Just below the Phase switch, is the Power/Standby switch - when in the OFF position, the TR-3D is inactive, in the Auto position, the TR-3D only becomes active when a low frequency signal is detected, and in the ON the TR-3D is always powered up. One thing to note is that the placement of the LED power indicator on the far left is kind of odd - you would think that it would be more logically placed next the to the Power Standby Switch.

Level: This is also referred to as Gain or Volume. This is used to set the sound output of the subwoofer in relation to the other speakers.

Also shown on this photo are the line input connections (also referred to as low level inputs). This is where you connect either stereo line, subwoofer, or LFE outputs of a preamp/processor, stereo, or home theater receiver to the TR-3D. If your receiver has a single subwoofer or LFE audio output, you have the option of just connecting it to the left or right audio line input or you can use a Y-adapter and connect it to both the left and right line inputs.

Also shown are a set of audio line outputs. This can be used to connect an additional (or two additional) powered subwoofers, if desired (really only needed if you have an extremely large room - the TR-3D definitely puts out enough bass for the average-size room.

Shown on this page is a look at the High Level speaker input and output connection option provided on the TR-3D powered subwoofer.

These connections provide a way to connect the TR-3D to an amplifier, stereo, or home theater receiver that may not have a dedicated subwoofer line output. In this case, you would connect speaker wire from the main left and right channel speaker terminals of the amplifier, stereo, or home theater receiver to the high level connections on the TR-3D.

Then, using the high level output connections on the Subwoofer, you would connect speaker wire to the main left and right speakers. Using the crossover adjustment on the Subwoofer, the user can determine what frequencies the Subwoofer will use and what frequencies the Subwoofer will pass onto the main speakers.

As you can see, the TR-3D can be set to run on either 100-120 volt/60hz or 220-240 volt/50hz power systems - provided you insert the right fuse (listed) into to fuse holder.
