AIM Expressions Emoticons, Images, and More

AIM Expressions offered a way to customize your AOL Instant Messenger experience with profile images, sounds, and emoticons. 

AIM Expressions has been removed from the AIM client, but you can still access it through the web and make customizations to your AIM account that will be reflected in your AIM app.

To access the AIM Expressions visit the AIM Expressions website.

On the AIM Expressions page, you will have access to avatars, icons, sounds, wallpapers, emoticons, and 1-click themes. Simply selectthe tab a tab to visit one of the sections.

Free AIM Wallpapers

With AIM Expressions, you can access dozens of free AIM Wallpapers. Select the Wallpapers tab in your web browser, then browse the free AIM Wallpapers subcategories on the left-hand side of the page. Select a subcategory by clicking on it and available wallpapers in that subcategory will appear to the right.

To select an AIM wallpaper, move your mouse over your selection and select the Apply link under the appropriate AIM Wallpaper to continue.

Free AIM Emoticons

With the AIM Expressions panel in AIM, users can access hundreds of free AIM Emoticons.

Select the "Emoticons" option in your web browser, then browse the free AIM Emoticons subcategories in the menu on the left-hand side of the page. Select a subcategory and emoticon options within it will appear on the right.

To select an AIM Emoticons choice, move your mouse over an emoticon and select the "Apply" link under the emoticon.

AIM Expressions Sounds

There are many sounds available for customizing your AIM experience. Select the Sounds option in your web browser, then browse the free AIM Sounds subcategories in the menu on the left-hand side of the page. Select a subcategory to see the sounds available, which appear in the window to the right of the subcategories.

To select an AIM sound, move your mouse over the sound and select the Apply link under it.
