Mail Gmail What to Know Select name of contact you want to add. Choose the three-dot icon > Add Sender to Contacts. Enter details and select Save.Add all new recipients: Go to Settings > More Settings > Writing email > Automatically add new recipients to Contacts > Save.Edit contacts: Select Contacts icon and choose a contact to edit. Select three-dot icon > Edit Contact. Enter details and select Save. When you open an email or send a message, you can quickly add the contact to your Yahoo Mail Contacts list using Yahoo Classic Mail. You don't need to open Contacts and manually type the information. Yahoo Mail can automatically generate that information from an email. Add a Sender or Recipient to Yahoo Classic Mail Contacts To quickly add an email's sender or recipient to your Classic Yahoo Mail address book: Open the email message. Select the name of the person you want to add to your address book. It doesn't matter if the person was the sender or not. As long as the name is there, you can select it. Select the three-dot More icon in the upper-right corner of the message window to open a list of actions. Select Add Sender to Contacts at the bottom of the list. A Create Contact pane opens on the right side of the window with the name populated, along with any other information pulled from the email. Enter any additional information you have for the contact you want to add, such as a phone number, nickname, or alternate email address. Select Save. A message appears, informing you that the new contact is added to your contacts list. Add All Email Addresses to Yahoo Classic Mail Contacts If you use Yahoo Classic Mail, you can also choose to add the email address of every new email recipient automatically. Select the Settings icon in the upper-right corner of the Mail screen. Choose More Settings at the bottom of the list. Select the Writing email tab in the left pane of the window. Confirm that Automatically add new recipients to Contacts is selected. Select Save. How to Edit Yahoo Mail Contacts When you have more time, you may want to add additional information to the Contacts. From your email screen, select the Contacts icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Your contacts list opens in a new pane on the left side of your mailbox. Select the contact you want to edit. The contact opens. Select the three dots in the upper-right corner of the contact pane and choose Edit Contact from the drop-down menu. A Create Contact pane opens on the right side of the window with the name populated, along with any other information pulled from the email.
