This article covers the four ways you can add photos to your TikTok videos videos. How to Make a Slideshow on TikTok One way to use photos in a video is to make a simple slideshow. TikTok will show your photos one by one and you can even add music or a voiceover to it. Here's how to do that. Tap + to create new content. Tap Upload. Tap Image. Select as many images as you want by tapping them. Tap Next. Adjust any other settings you want, including the music that plays with the slideshow. Tap Next. Fill out the rest of the post screen (caption, etc.) and tap Post. This creates a very simple slideshow with music or voice over so you can show off your photos. How to Use TikTok Photo Templates If you want to plus it up, TikTok has some templates you can use that add fancy effects and animations to your slide show. Here's how to do that. Tap + to create new content. Tap Templates. Swipe left and right through the previews until you find one you like. Tap Select photos. Tap the photos you want to put into the template. Tap OK. Adjust any other settings you want, such as music or voiceover. Tap Next. Fill out the rest of the post screen and tap Post. This gives you a much nicer photo slideshow with effects, but the number of photos you can select is limited. The number of photos also varies depending on the template you choose. Both of these options make nice slideshows, but there are other ways you can add photos to enhance your videos. How to Use a Photo as a Green Screen Another great way to use a photo to enhance your video is to use a photo as an artificial background, like a green screen. Using photos this way can transport you to a new location or add a neat effect to your videos. Here's how to do that. Tap + to create new content. Tap Effects. Tap Greenscreen effects. Note There are two buttons that look alike in this area. The greenscreen button looks like a photo with an arrow pointing down. An inset photo (which we'll discuss below) looks like a photo turned a bit to the side with an arrow pointing down. Tap the photo you want in the list of photos above the effects. You can also hit the + to see more photos at a time. Position your video where you want it by following the on screen controls and record your video. When you are done, tap the checkmark. Adjust any other settings you want. Tap Next. Fill out the rest of the post screen and tap Post. Place a Photo Inside Your Video There's still one more way to use a photo in a video, and that's as an inset. An inset is a photo set inside the video, like on a news broadcast. Tap + to create new content. Tap Effects. Tap Inset Photo. Tap the photo you want in the list of photos above the effects. You can also hit the + to see more photos at a time. Position your photo where you want it by following the on-screen controls. Record your video. When you are done, tap the checkmark. Adjust any other settings you want for the video. Tap Next. Fill out the rest of the Post screen and tap Post. TikTok is a predominantly video-based platform, but there are a lot of ways your photos can get in on the act. That's great because it gives you the opportunity to be even more creative with photos as well as videos. Was this page helpful? Thanks for letting us know!
