Acer Unveils New Eco-Friendly Laptops

New additions to Acer’s consumer-grade ConceptD lineup are coming, too

Acer has unveiled a swath of new products, including its Vero line of eco-friendly products like the Aspire Vero.

On Wednesday, Acer unveiled several new laptops, including the Acer Aspire Vero, an eco-friendly, upgradeable laptop that uses post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic throughout the entire chassis. Other eco-conscious products include a new TravelMate Vero for professional users, as well as the Acer Veriton Vero Mini, a mini desktop PC with commercial-grade performance and customization.

The Acer Aspire Vero uses 30% PCR in the chassis, which Acer claims saves around 21% in CO2 emissions. It looks to be a solid laptop for eco-conscious users, as it includes an 11th-Gen Intel Core processor, as well as standardized screws for easy repairs and upgrades.

You can also take your eco-friendly efforts one step further by utilizing the new Eco+ mode, which conserves battery by disabling some critical functions like USB Charging. This helps conserve electricity needed to recharge the device, and you can easily swap to other power modes as needed.

Acer also unveiled new laptops in its ConceptD lineup, including the ConceptD 3 and ConceptD 3 Ezel, which will sport Intel i7 processors capable of reaching 4.6 GHz, and support for Nvidia’s T1200 laptop GPUs. Additionally, Acer showcased two new ConceptD laptops designed for pro users.

The ConceptD 3 will be available to purchase come January in North America, while the ConceptD 3 Ezel will start shipping in November.
